Responsible forestry

We are certified according to PEFC™ (Promoting Sustainable Forest Management) and FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) which are traceable systems for wood and social responsibility regarding the environment. This mark is our proof and guaranty that the wood that we use in our products are from a sustainable foresting.

PEFC™ is a global stand-alone umbrella organization for valuation and mutually acknowledgement of national standards that works for a sustainable foresting through independent certifying.

The goal is to develop a sustainable foresting and a good balance between production, environmental and social interests.

PEFC™ stand for Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification.

International PEFC™ includes over 750 000 forest owners and a certified forest areal of 264 million hectares.

The PEFC™ mark on a product shows that it is made of sustainable raw material from sustainable harvested forests.

In Sweden the foresting is certified accordingly to Swedish PEFC™ standards. Over 11 million hectare forest is certified according to the standard.

An effective control of PEFC™ certified foresters, entrepreneurs and businesses is guaranteed through an unbiased control organisation. The control organisation is approved by Swedac, the official accreditation body of Sweden.

FSC® Stands for Forest Stewardship Council and is an independent, international members organisation. The organisation works for a eco-friendly, social responsibility and economic viable foresting of the world’s forests.

The forest supply clean water, fresh air and contributes against the global warming. It provides food, medicine and important natural resources as timber and paper. A sustainable foresting makes sure that the forest can provide these goods in the long term. The ones who participate in FSC® are working for this goal voluntarily.
